Welcome

Come, come you’re invited
There’s space for you all
From sadness to joy
None exempt from my call

You are all so welcome
Those near and not met
Hate, love, ecstasy
Anger, doubt and regret

Arrive how you so want
Alone, side by side
Grief, despair and hope
Trust, jealousy and pride

Travellers in this full life
You are connected
Everyone belongs
No one is rejected

The welcome mat is out
You will be met here
Each presence greeted
And gifts given to share

Come, come please don’t hold back
You each have a role
In making me, me
And helping me feel whole.
