Orderly teaspoons

Teaspoons lined up
ordered
in their drawer

As feelings
ideally
should be

Pillows are puffed
we’ve had enough

Syringes and dishes
pathologically clean

An empty chair
where you could
have been

Bookstore Bliss

Special staying there
beside you that day
at bookstore cafè
surrounded by words
we surrended ours
so sitting for hours
in that sacred space
and saying nothing
was reassuring
as shy strangers
seated side by side
safely in silence
can only ever savour

Mobile Masses

So much depends
upon

the WiFi
access

pulsing in its
power

around the mobile
masses

Homage to William C. Williams’s “The The Red Wheelbarrow”

Just ask the snake shedding skin
One just must begin
