The
heart wrenching lonely pain
Of
reaching out to nothing
Neither
heard, nor felt, nor seen
As
if not even being
Caught
up in a dynamic
You
play out anxious frantics
That
are drawn to and repel
Their
old avoidance tactics
Each
brazenly brandishes
Their
weapons of rejection
From
behind their tattooed shields
Of
fragile self protection
Tormented
by spinning thoughts
Of
worthlessness and of doubt
Insecurities
within
Now
visibly seeping out
And
then with a sacred pause
You
come out of this deep trance
You
centre yourself again
Detached
from this empty dance
